9th June, 2007 – Walk up Ben Cruachan and a night in Inverary

A walk up Ben Cruachan in intense heat with far too little water but a great walk all the same. Even though haze limited the views in to the distance they were still pretty spectacular and the walk itself is one to repeat again, possibly in winter.

Afterwards we headed to Inverary for the night which proved to be a bustling wee place. A great meal in the George Hotel followed by a sleepless night in the hottest hostel with the loudest snorer possible in our room.

Sunday proved to be a bit showery where we intended walking so we just headed for home the long way through the Trossachs.
