9th and 10th Nov, 2007 – Tulloch Weekend

A weekend staying at Tulloch’s Station Lodge and walking in the surrounding hills. The weather over the weekend was drier than the drive up on the Friday suggested it may be but the wind was incredibly strong on the Saturday and though weakened on Sunday, it was much chillier in the breeze.

Saturday – A walk towards the cliffs of Creag Meagaidh then up through ‘the window’ and along the adjacent peaks of Stob Poite Coire Ardair and Carn Liath. Great fun in very strong winds and a few snowball fights along the way! Creag Meagaidh was in cloud hence our decision not to bother going to the top but good views north from the lower summits and ridge.

Sunday – A walk in to two of the summits of the Grey Corries: Stob Ban and Stob Choire Claurigh. Nice views in most directions but a biting wind didn’t allow for much lingering high up. More snow in lying than the day before, both on these hills and across on Creag Meagaidh.
