30th January, 2010 – Sea Kayaking South Queensferry

A crisp, cool paddle under blue skies with just a bit of a breeze to contend with.

Fifteen of us set off from South Queensferry heading along to Crammond Island until about two thirds of the way where a faction of five opted to cross the channel to Inchcolm Island (splitters!) leaving the rest of us to continue on to the north beach on Crammond. This was a nice sunny spot for a brief snack n’ chat break where various forms of stretching out stiffened joints were illustrated to those who preferred to sit and let hot tea / chocolate work its magic instead.

A gorgeous spot but the cold did take effect on us sitting about so we soon set off back on the return journey with notably choppier waters than on the way in.
