Puffin Away at the Farnes

It was spring tides at the Farnes, which leads to fast flowing streams between the islands, but largely we were untroubled by them and even got some assistance on our return journey. By then though, it was hard to tell with tiredness setting in.

The sights, sounds and smells of countless terns, guillemots, puffins and seals accompanied us on our way round the archipelago – a real wildlife hotspot.
