Falling Leaves, Leaping Salmon

One natural spectacle superseded by another. Our intention had been to enjoy the autumnal colours, but they were not quite out in full force yet, for our walk along the River Garry at Killicrankie. However, the salmon were leaping where a soldier had leaped before them. Every few seconds one would attempt the seemingly impossible, to get up over a metre in height against a significant flow, with only one small target area leading to very occasional success.
